Victron Centaur is a high power charger with uncompromising quality. The epoxy powder coated aluminium casing, with anti-drip protection and stainless steel fixings make these products highly resistant to adverse environments: heat, humidity and salty air.
The electronic circuits are protected from corrosion by an acrylic coating. Temperature sensors ensure that all components operate optimally, if necessary by automatically reducing the output current under extreme environmental conditions.

All models are fully functional without any adjustment from 90 to 265 V, both at 50 and 60 Hz.

3-step charging, with temperature compensation
The Centaur charges at full power until the output current has been reduced to 70% of the nominal current, after which a 4-hour timer starts. After this time the charger switches to maintenance mode.
An internal temperature sensor is used to compensate the charge current with – 2mV/°C per cell. A series of microswitches are used to select the optimum charge/maintenance current for acid, gel or AGM type batteries.
