SKIPPER TOPKAPI LUCIDA UV TRANSPARENT VARNISH GLOSSY 0.75LT

Gloss clear varnish easy to apply, offers a non-yellowing finish highly resistant to the marine environment. Mainly used as an external finish for wooden boats, it is added with ultraviolet filters for prolonged resistance to solar radiation.

SUPPORT PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE

New wood. The surface must be clean and dry, sanded and dusted. Apply a first coat of TOPKAPI LUCIDA UV more diluted (50-70% or more depending on the absorption of the support) to allow for impregnation of the wood. (Alternatively, always for the purpose of impregnation, you can apply a coat of POLIGLASS two-component varnish diluted 50-100% with DILUENTE 203 - depending on the absorption - taking care to leave the wood pores open to allow subsequent overpainting with TOPKAPI LUCIDA UV.) Overpaint with 4-5 coats of TOPKAPI LUCIDA UV to obtain a high-quality glossy finish, respecting the interval times between one coat and the next.

Previously painted wood. -If the old paints no longer offer adequate adhesion to the substrate or are brittle, they must be removed mechanically. Clean the surface thoroughly and then follow the instructions above for new substrates.
-If the painted surface is in good adhesion condition and it is only necessary to restore the finishing coats because they are dirty or dulled by time, clean and degrease the surface well and sand with medium-fine sandpaper. Remove dust and sanding residues and apply 2-3 coats of TOPKAPI LUCIDA UV to obtain a high-quality glossy finish, respecting the interval times between one coat and the next.

NOTE: In summer and/or at temperatures above 20°C, we recommend diluting with Dilatant 109 for brush application.
