It is an antifouling paint with a high content of copper oxide and other antifouling agents, particularly suitable for warm seas and in the most difficult conditions. Its “antifouling” power develops for a period of more than 12 months (at thicknesses of approximately 100-120 microns of dry film). Suitable for wooden, iron or fibreglass working boats with speeds of up to approximately 30 knots.

SUPPORT PREPARATION AND APPLICATION CYCLE
New iron hulls. On iron sandblasted to grade 2-2.5, apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9, leaving to dry for 12-24 hours. Then apply 2 coats of EPOFOND AM/9 spaced no more than 24 hours apart (min.6-8 hours), then 2 coats of VENOX SUPER antifouling, always respecting the overpainting times between one coat and the next.

New wooden hulls. The support must be clean, dry, seasoned. Apply a coat of EPOFOND AM-9 diluted by 50% with Thinner 765, depending on the absorption. After 12-24 a second coat of EPOFOND AM-9 diluted by 10-20% with Thinner 765. Followed by 2 coats of SOLVER PRIMER; then apply 2-3 coats of VENOX SUPER antifouling, always respecting the overpainting times between one coat and the other

Fiberglass (gelcoat refinished boats). Apply 1 coat of UNIFIBER PRIMER followed by 2-3 coats of VENOX SUPER antifouling, always respecting the overpainting times between one coat and the next.

Hulls in service. The hulls must be perfectly clean, free from encrustations, washed with fresh water and sanded (for sanding the antifouling it is recommended to use wet sandpaper and to wear a mask and protective glasses to avoid dust). Apply 1 coat of SOLVER PRIMER intermediate insulator on the old antifouling (especially if of unknown nature), followed by 2 coats of VENOX SUPER antifouling, always respecting the overpainting times between one coat and the next.

Recommendations. The maximum period of putting the antifouling into service, after the application of the last coat, is 1 month; with the top of the range products based on copper oxide and after agreement with our technical staff, the same can be extended up to 3 months, provided that the hull is protected from humidity, rain, or atmospheric agents, with plastic or similar material.

Color. The color of the antifouling after immersion may vary slightly. Small differences in color may occur between different production lots: if necessary, mix them before application.
