Sika® Primer-206 G+P
Sika® Primer-206 G+P is a black, solvent-based primer, which reacts with moisture and forms a thin layer. This layer acts as a link between substrates and adhesives. Sika® Primer-206 G+P is specifically formulated for the treatment of bonding surfaces prior to the application of Sika 1-component polyurethanes.
Jobs
Sika® Primer-206 G+P is used to improve adhesion on substrates such as float glass, ceramic screen prints, pre-coatings, painted surfaces and some plastics and metals. Consult the manufacturer and perform tests on original substrates before using Sika® Primer-206 G+P on materials subject to stress cracking. This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates under real conditions must be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.Packaging

IMPORTANT NOTES
If Sika® Primer-206 G+P is used below 5 °C, further tests under worst case conditions are mandatory.
Sika® Primer-206 G+P is a moisture reactive system. In order to maintain the quality of the product it is important to reseal the container with the inner plastic liner immediately after use. Once the surface pre-treatment operation is completed, the cap must be screwed on.
Dispose of the product approximately one month after opening if used frequently or after two months if used rarely.
Dispose of 100ml containers two weeks after opening. 30ml jars are for single use only.
If you notice gelling, separation, or a significant increase in viscosity, discard the primer immediately.
Never dilute or mix this product with other substances.
When used on transparent or translucent substrates such as float glass, plastic, etc., adequate UV protection is required.
Application
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dust and contaminants.
Adhesion to substrates can be improved by adding and/or combining pre-treatment processes such as abrasion and cleaning.
Pre-treat the bonding area of the substrates with Sika® Aktivator-100 using the wipe-on, wipe-off method and wait for evaporation.
Application
Shake Sika® Primer-206 G+P very thoroughly until the mixing ball moves freely. Continue shaking for another minute and apply a thin but covering layer by brush, felt pad or sponge.
The ideal application and surface temperature is between 15°C and 25°C.
Sika® Primer-206 G+P must be applied only once. Care must be taken to ensure that this single application gives sufficient coverage. Consumption and method of application depend on the specific nature of the substrates. Reseal container tightly immediately after each use.
