In an emergency situation, a reliable communication device is of fundamental importance. The Garmin VHF 215i AIS, rugged, compact, waterproof and with DSC (Digital Selective Calling) system, guarantees excellent transmission and reception quality.
It also allows you to view on your chartplotter AIS (Automatic Identification System) class A and B data, identification information and data relating to the position, course and speed of surrounding vessels within the VHF range.

Unlimited connection
Easy to install and use, the new VHF 215i AIS connects via the NMEA 2000 network to compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays via the NMEA 2000® network. The new VHF 215i AIS features DSC Class D digital selective calling, for distress calls and direct calls with user-programmed MMSI, to be safe in any situation. The VHF 215i is also compatible with the GHS 11i second radio station.

The new design matches perfectly with the latest GPSMAP®722/922/1222 Touch, GPMAP 1022/1222, GPSMAP 7400 and GPSMAP 8400 chartplotters and multifunction displays for a truly marine-style console.
