Woodworking is further enhanced by a load-bearing coating and an open-face construction that reduces clogging and extends abrasive life. For pre- and post-paint finishing, versatility is key, and the 375L Film Disc in the fine grades is needed to achieve an incredibly smooth finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry. The 3M™ Hookit™ Film Disc 375L is designed for use with a random orbital sander and 3M™ Hookit™ Backing Pad (sold separately). It comes in a variety of grades for different applications, from rough sanding to very fine finishing. 3M™ Hookit™ Backing Discs are ideal for workspaces where adhesive backed discs may be contaminated by dust, dirt or debris in the air. They are often used in applications where a 3M™ Stikit™ Disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to create a finer finish than adhesive backed discs. Hookit Sandblasting Discs conveniently and securely snap into the Attachment Disc Backing Pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander and can be safely and easily removed for reuse over and over again throughout the life of the abrasive. Hookit Discs perform best when paired with a 3M™ Hookit™ Disc Pad. Film-backed discs have excellent tear resistance properties and create a very smooth finish and consistent results every time.
